Greta Atchinson

Greta Atchinson is Director of the Estate Planning, Elder Law & Special Needs Practice Group at Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade. Her practice focuses on helping clients plan for the future through legal guidance that addresses estate matters, elder law concerns, special needs issues, and related planning needs.

Greta graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine at Farmington. She is licensed to practice law in Maine and Massachusetts. Her education and admissions experience support her work with clients who need guidance in estate, elder law, and special needs.

Greta advises on all aspects of estate planning and elder law. Her work includes tax planning for taxable estates, general estate and gift tax planning, long-term care planning, probate, guardianship and conservatorship, and special needs planning. These services help clients address important legal and financial questions with care.

Greta helps families prepare for future needs and gain a stronger sense of security about what lies ahead. Before joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Greta practiced at a Boston-area law firm. In that role, she focused on estate and elder law planning. Greta Atchinson also serves on the Board of Governors for the Westover School in Middlebury, CT, where she is chair of the annual fund. Through her legal practice and board service, she brings planning knowledge, professional focus, and steady guidance to clients and organizations with important future needs.
