Gregory R. Flax

Gregory R. Flax is a partner at Martin, Browne, Hull & Harper PLL, where he provides experienced legal counsel across agricultural law, estate planning, probate, and business litigation. With deep ties to Clark County and a background rooted in farming, he offers practical, results-driven representation to individuals, families, and businesses.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University in 1997. He later completed his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan School of Law in 2006, where he developed a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and dispute resolution.

Greg began his legal career at the Columbus office of Baker & Hostetler LLP, where he focused on complex litigation. He then returned to Springfield to open a solo practice, serving clients in his hometown before joining Martin, Browne, Hull & Harper PLL as a partner in 2014. His diverse career path reflects both large-firm experience and a personalized approach to client service.

Greg’s current practice includes advising agricultural clients on land use, regulatory compliance, and business structuring. He also counsels clients in estate planning and probate matters, helping them preserve wealth and navigate sensitive legal transitions. In business litigation, he advocates for clients in commercial disputes with clarity and purpose.

Gregory R. Flax is admitted to practice in all Ohio state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers from 2012 to 2016.

Greg actively participates in the Ohio State and Clark County Bar Associations and has served on the Ohio State Bar Association’s Board of Governors. He also chaired the Agricultural Law Committee from 2014 to 2016. He remains engaged in the community through school boards and nonprofit work, reflecting a lasting commitment to service both in and out of the courtroom.
