Grant Walker

Grant Walker is the founding attorney of Walker Law Firm, PLLC, and a licensed real estate broker in North Dakota. With decades of legal service, Grant brings deep courtroom experience, government service, and client-focused legal solutions to criminal defense, personal injury, and real estate law. He is licensed to practice in North Dakota, South Dakota, the U.S. District Courts for both states, and the Bar of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Grant holds a B.S. (1999) from the University of South Dakota and a J.D. (2003) from the University of South Dakota School of Law. He completed additional legal coursework through the National College of District Attorneys and real estate certification through the Cooke Real Estate School in 2014.

Grant has served in a wide array of high-level legal positions. His past roles included state attorney, chief prosecutor, and special assistant to the United States Attorney for both North and South Dakota. He has represented tribal governments and acted as a legal consultant for the Three Affiliated Tribes. After retiring from public prosecution, he established Walker Law Firm, PLLC to deliver aggressive and reliable private legal counsel.

Grant has been recognized nationally, including being named the 2014 Champion of Public Safety in Indian Country by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He has served on numerous advisory groups and task forces addressing juvenile justice, violence against Native women, and public safety.

Grant Walker is also a published legal author and faculty member with the National Judicial College and the Office of Justice Services Division of Tribal Justice Support. His background combines courtroom strength, policy insight, and a long-standing dedication to tribal and regional communities.
