About
George Skelly is an Associate Attorney at Singleton Schreiber and a member of the firm’s Personal Injury and Wrongful Death practice group. He represents individuals and families throughout New Mexico who have suffered harm because of another party’s wrongful conduct. His experience includes automobile accidents, dog bites, slip-and-fall injuries, catastrophic injuries, and motor vehicle collisions. George focuses on helping injured clients understand their legal options while pursuing accountability, compensation, and practical solutions through the civil justice system effectively.
George earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence Award in Legal Writing. His legal education prepared him for a career centered on advocacy, research, writing, and client representation. Before focusing on personal injury law, he began his legal career in family law, where he worked on adoption matters and helped families navigate important legal transitions. That experience strengthened his understanding of the personal challenges clients face during stressful legal proceedings today.
George has successfully handled personal injury matters involving vehicle crashes, premises incidents, dog bites, and other negligence claims. His work reflects a commitment to careful preparation and direct advocacy for people dealing with the consequences of serious injuries. His earlier family law experience gave him additional perspective on the emotional and practical pressures legal disputes can place on individuals and families. He applies that understanding when guiding clients through claims, litigation, negotiations, and decisions involving recovery after preventable harm today.
George Skelly is admitted to practice in New Mexico and remains involved in the legal community through professional and volunteer service. He is associated with the Albuquerque Bar Association, New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and Family Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar. George has volunteered with New Mexico Christian Legal Aid, assisting people who need legal guidance.
