He regularly represents clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and provides strategic guidance on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights. George earned his Juris Doctor from the Valparaiso University School of Law. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University.

Throughout his career, George has helped businesses and entrepreneurs obtain patents for various inventions, including medical devices, high-rise building facade systems, and automated bulk material form-fill machines. His work includes handling patent licensing, prosecution, and infringement matters, ensuring that clients’ innovations are well-protected.

Before joining Barrett in 2019, George managed his own intellectual property firm, serving clients across the Midwest and the United States. His extensive experience includes trademark and trade dress registration and defense, copyright protection, and trade secret management.
