George M. Lee

George M. Lee is a seasoned civil litigation attorney and partner at Seiler Epstein LLP, based in San Francisco, California. He specializes in civil litigation, with a strong focus on commercial and business litigation, real estate disputes, and business and partnership conflicts. His practice extends to civil rights and constitutional claims, where he actively prosecutes cases to uphold his clients’ rights under the United States Constitution.

Mr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in Washington, D.C., in 1991. He then pursued his legal education at the American University Washington College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1994. He was admitted to the California Bar the same year and has been practicing law ever since.

With more than 25 years of experience in civil litigation, Mr. Lee is a seasoned trial lawyer representing clients in both California state and federal courts. His practice focuses on complex business disputes, including trade secret misappropriation, data theft, slander, and defamation claims, as well as defending high-stakes fraud actions through verdict. He has extensive experience in civil trials and appeals, and has argued cases before the California Courts of Appeal, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the California Supreme Court.

In 2021, Mr. Lee gained significant recognition for his role as lead trial counsel in Miller v. Bonta, a federal court challenge to California’s Assault Weapons Control Act. His representation in this case led to the first successful challenge of its kind at the trial court level in the United States. For his exceptional work, he was named a “Top 100 Attorney” by the LA/SF Daily Journal in 2021.

Mr. Lee’s commitment to his profession is reflected in his active involvement in various legal and community organizations. He is a member of the California State Bar, focusing on the Litigation and Intellectual Property Law sections. He also holds membership in the Navy League of the United States and has served as a board member for the USO of Northern California.
