Geoffrey E. Sherman

Geoffrey E. Sherman, Esq., is a Florida real estate lawyer and partner at Oppenheim Law, focused on commercial and residential transactions, business law, and commercial litigation. He represents buyers, sellers, developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and businesses in matters involving property acquisition, development, financing, sales, leasing, and construction. He handles business formation, corporate governance, contract negotiation, and purchases or sales of businesses and company assets. His litigation work includes real estate contract disputes, partition actions, specific enforcement claims, and partnership disputes.

Geoffrey earned a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida. He later received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. During law school, he was a student member of the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. He served as treasurer of the PULSE – Health Law Students Society, adding organizational and leadership experience to his legal education.

Geoffrey began gaining legal experience during his final year of law school, working as a law clerk and assisting with discovery research in national litigation. After graduation, he developed experience in mortgage foreclosure defense and expanded his work across real estate transactions, business matters, and civil litigation. He has represented homeowners, borrowers, companies, and investors in matters involving contracts, property rights, commercial transactions, and business disputes. He serves as general counsel to Weston Title and Escrow, Inc., a Florida title company.

Geoffrey E. Sherman is admitted to the Florida Bar, federal district courts in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the US Tax Court. He became a named partner in 2025 after more than fifteen years with his firm. He was appointed a Florida Remote Online Notary Public in 2020 and performs virtual real estate closings and online notarizations. His practice continues to center on real estate, business transactions, corporate matters, and commercial disputes throughout Florida.
