Genevra Alberti, Esq., is a Senior Attorney at Martinez Immigration Law LLC, focusing on immigration litigation and humanitarian relief. She brings over a decade of experience representing individuals in removal proceedings before the Kansas City Immigration Court. Her practice includes deportation defense, family-based immigration, asylum, waivers, and naturalization. Known for her litigation skills, she has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Genevra earned her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2011. She holds a B.A. with distinction in Psychology and Italian Language from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 2005.
Before joining Martinez Immigration Law LLC in 2025, Genevra served as the sole immigration attorney at The Clinic at Sharma-Crawford Attorneys at Law for 13 years. Her early experience includes internships with an immigration law firm in St. Louis and the European Council on Refugees and Exiles in Brussels. This diverse background informs her approach to complex immigration cases with both local and global perspectives.
Genevra is highly active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), currently serving as Chair of the Missouri-Kansas Chapter and as a long-time liaison to the Executive Office for Immigration Review. She regularly presents at conferences, teaches courtroom skills to attorneys, and leads Know Your Rights sessions for the public. She is also a contributing author to the AILA Litigation Toolbox (5th and 6th Editions).
Genevra Alberti’s professional recognition includes the 2024 AILA President’s Commendation, selection to Super Lawyers (2019–2024), and multiple Pro Bono Champion honors. Genevra remains committed to advocacy, education, and achieving justice for individuals navigating the immigration system.
