G. Todd Carter is a partner at Brown, Readdick, Bumgartner, Carter, Strickland and Watkins, LLP, where he represents clients in complex civil litigation. His practice includes employment disputes, civil rights matters, workers’ compensation, ad valorem tax litigation, personal injury claims, and wrongful death cases for both plaintiffs and defendants statewide.

Carter earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Georgia in 1989. He then received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1993. This academic foundation supports his analytical approach to litigation, appellate advocacy, and strategic case preparation for clients. After law school, he joined the firm that later became Brown, Readdick, Bumgartner, Carter, Strickland and Watkins, LLP. Carter is admitted to practice in Georgia’s state trial and appellate courts, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
