Flavia Rocha Moody

Flavia Rocha Moody, ESQ. is an accomplished attorney specializing in immigration and national law. She is the founding member and managing partner of Rocha Moody Law Firm, LLC, established in 2021. Her practice focuses on immigration law, deportation and removal defense, federal immigration litigation, and national immigration matters. With over a decade of legal experience, she is dedicated to providing high-quality legal representation to individuals and families navigating the complexities of the U.S. immigration system.

Attorney Moody holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Fortaleza (Universidade de Fortaleza – UNIFOR) in Brazil. She also earned a Master of Laws in Comparative Law from the Paul H. Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she further developed her expertise in U.S. legal principles. After completing her LL.M., she was granted equivalency certification by the Louisiana Supreme Court and admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2013.

Her legal career began at The Scott Law Firm, where she served as a senior associate attorney for over eight years. During this time, she represented clients in a wide range of immigration cases, including removal defense, family-based immigration, and federal litigation. In 2021, she established her own firm to expand her impact in the field.

Flavia is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and municipal courts, as well as federal courts in the Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana. She is also authorized to appear before immigration courts nationwide. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Immigration Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has served as a media liaison for AILA’s Mid-South chapter since 2019 and is a former chairperson of the Immigration Law Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
