About

Farrah L. Spencer is a partner with more than two decades of experience representing clients in complex family law matters. Her practice encompasses divorce, child custody, modification, enforcement, adoption, and pre- and post-marital agreements. She is known for balancing compassionate advocacy with strong courtroom representation when necessary to protect her clients’ interests.

Farrah completed her B.A. in Psychology and Administration of Justice with a minor in Sociology at the University of Wyoming in 1999. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2002, which provided her with a strong academic foundation for her family law career. Licensed in both Utah and Wyoming, she brings regional insight and versatility to her clients’ cases.

Farrah advises clients on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, drawing on her firm’s tax and trust law resources to navigate complex financial issues in divorce. She encourages resolution outside the courtroom, particularly when children are involved, but remains a formidable trial advocate when litigation is unavoidable. Her approach emphasizes realistic expectations and practical solutions that minimize the emotional and financial impact on families.

Farrah is widely recognized in the family law field, serving as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and as a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, an exclusive distinction reserved for just 100 of the nation’s top trial attorneys in family law. She has chaired the Wyoming State Bar Family Law Section, the Mountain States Chapter of AAML, and has served on the Utah State Bar Family Law Executive Committee.

Farrah L. Spencer is also a frequent lecturer and author on family law topics, contributing to professional publications and presenting at state and national conferences. Through her professional leadership, community service, and client advocacy, she continues to advance the family law profession while guiding families through some of life’s most challenging transitions.
