F. Richard “Rick” Van Pelt

F. Richard “Rick” Van Pelt is a highly respected family law attorney in Springfield, Missouri, with a career devoted exclusively to domestic relations and family trial practice. He is one of only 100 Diplomates of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers in the United States and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Rick has been consistently recognized for excellence in family law. Rick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pittsburg State University in 1980, where he was named Outstanding Senior Man. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law in 1983, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, and received the Academic Achievement in Law Award.

His practice includes divorce, settlement negotiations, mediation, trial practice, post-decree modifications, paternity matters, business divisions, prenuptial agreements, and adoptions.
