Evan M. Kirshenbaum

Evan M. Kirshenbaum is the Managing Partner of Kirshenbaum Law Associates, Inc., a Rhode Island family law firm serving clients throughout Cranston and surrounding communities. He focuses his practice on divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, and complex family law matters. With decades of experience guiding individuals through difficult legal issues, Evan is committed to helping clients understand their options and pursue practical solutions that protect their rights, families, and long-term financial stability during challenging transitions.

Evan earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1994 and his B.A. from Connecticut College in 1991. He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Rhode Island Bar Association, Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, and the Edward P. Gallogly Rhode Island Family Law Inn of Court.

Evan has served the City of Cranston in several legal roles in addition to private practice. He has served as Attorney for the Cranston City Council. He has worked as both the Deputy City Solicitor and the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cranston, Rhode Island. Through these public service positions, he gained extensive experience in municipal law and government operations, further strengthening his understanding of legal systems and public policy that affect Rhode Island residents and families.

Evan M. Kirshenbaum is also recognized for his educational contributions within the legal community. He has lectured at seminars for the National Business Institute on topics including child custody and visitation, handling divorce cases from start to finish, guiding clients toward favorable outcomes, the divorce guide from A to Z, and advanced family law strategies. He has also been invited as a guest lecturer at Brown University on Law in Rhode Island and at Rhode Island Professional Day, discussing financial issues in divorce.
