About

Evan J. Krame is a Rockville attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration, guardianships, probate, and tax planning. He advises clients on asset protection, probate avoidance, disability planning, and tax issues connected to family wealth and long-term care. A significant part of his work involves planning for people with disabilities, including special needs trusts, guardianship matters, and legal structures designed to protect assets while supporting ongoing care.

Krame graduated from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1982 and completed a Master’s in Taxation at George Washington in 1985. His advanced tax training supports estate and trust planning that requires careful attention to asset ownership, transfer strategies, and future administration. He later taught Estate Planning as an adjunct professor at American University Law School and also served for several years as an adjunct professor at Montgomery College.

Krame has served as trustee for special needs trusts and as guardian for elderly and incapacitated adults. He has worked as an expert witness on probate matters and has taught or spoken on estate planning, trust administration, disability planning, and end-of-life decision making. His professional service includes leadership as co-chair of the Estates, Trusts and Probate Section of the District of Columbia Bar, where the section received a pro bono award during his tenure.

Evan J. Krame brings estate planning, tax knowledge, disability planning, and probate experience together in a practice designed to protect clients, families, and future interests. His work includes planning documents, trust structures, guardianships, probate administration, and guidance for families supporting people with disabilities. Through teaching, professional leadership, and direct client work, he has developed a practice centered on practical solutions for asset management, incapacity, succession, and long-term family planning.
