Ethan Hallstrom is an associate in Hawley Troxell’s Pocatello office and works with the firm’s Litigation, Employment & Labor, and Construction practice groups. His practice is supported by recent legal training in business associations, statutory interpretation, legal writing, and clinical advocacy. He assists on disputes and advisory matters that require careful research, organized drafting, and attention to procedural details in state and federal legal settings.
Ethan earned a B.A. in History Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2022, with a minor in American Government, and a J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2025. He served as Managing Editor of the Idaho Law Review and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Business Associations and Statutory Interpretation, reflecting strong academic performance in research-intensive subjects.
Ethan gained practical experience as a Rule 224 Intern with the University of Idaho Community Law Clinic, where he drafted legal documents and pleadings for divorce and child custody, guardianship, landlord-tenant, and criminal defense matters. He also served as a judicial extern for Whitman County Superior Court and as a legal extern with the United States Air Force at Luke Air Force Base, adding exposure to court and government practice.
Ethan Hallstrom is admitted in Idaho and brings current academic training and hands-on clinical experience to litigation, employment, and construction matters. His law review leadership, judicial externships, and clinic work developed skills in legal research, drafting, issue analysis, and procedure. At Hawley Troxell, he applies those skills to support clients facing disputes, workplace issues, and construction-related legal questions that require clear analysis and careful written advocacy.
