About
Erin Levy is an attorney at Wills & Wellness Estate Planning in Colorado. She works with individuals and families who want to make informed decisions about their estates and protect the people important to them. Her present practice emphasizes the personal impact of estate planning rather than treating legal documents as an isolated task. She values learning clients’ concerns and helping them understand choices that can provide greater certainty for their families.
Erin graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2010. She began her legal career in Chicago, opening a criminal defense practice after law school. The experience of representing people in difficult circumstances developed her courtroom skills and her ability to explain sensitive legal decisions. She later carried that client-centered perspective into her estate planning work, where clear communication and careful listening remain essential.
As a solo criminal defense attorney, Erin handled cases ranging from traffic offenses to serious homicide charges. She also argued before the Illinois Appellate Court and later worked on criminal defense and wrongful-conviction matters with the Law Office of Thomas Needham. After relocating to Colorado, she joined the Aurora Municipal Public Defender’s Office, where she tried 17 jury cases in one year and participated in Aurora’s Mental Health Court.
Erin Levy now uses her broad background in client advocacy to support families preparing for future legal and personal decisions. She understands the importance of making planning discussions manageable, particularly when people face uncertainty or difficult circumstances. Her approach emphasizes respect for each client’s story, straightforward explanations, and thoughtful preparation. These values help clients participate actively in estate planning instead of feeling overwhelmed by unfamiliar legal procedures.
