About

Erik Anderson is a partner at Goel & Anderson, LLC and directs the firm’s Immigrant Visa Practice. He develops immigration strategies for the recruitment and transfer of personnel in the United States and overseas. His work serves clients in technology, telecommunications, biotech, insurance and finance, healthcare, maritime, food and beverage, and entertainment, while also covering investor visas and individual and family-based immigration matters.

Anderson earned a J.D. from The American University, Washington College of Law and a B.A. in Government and Politics from Fairfield University. His education supports work involving federal immigration statutes, agency procedures, employment-based immigration planning, and cross-border workforce issues. That background helps him evaluate visa options, develop long-term immigration strategies, and advise organizations and individuals on processes that can affect hiring, investment, family unity, and global mobility.

Anderson directs nonimmigrant and immigrant investor visa programs in addition to the firm’s broader immigrant visa practice. Before private practice, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Board of Alien Labor Certification at the U.S. Department of Labor. He now handles matters before that agency, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the U.S. Department of State. He also speaks and writes on strategic immigration planning.

Erik Anderson is admitted in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has received professional recognition for corporate immigration work. His agency background and private-practice experience help employers, investors, families, and individuals develop immigration strategies that account for compliance requirements, workforce needs, and long-term planning.
