Eric Beal

Eric Beal is the founder and a senior attorney at Beal Law Firm, where he focuses on divorce and family law matters for clients in Fort Worth and throughout Texas. Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Beal has more than 35 years of experience. His practice includes divorce, child custody, child support, property division, premarital agreements, modifications, enforcement actions, collaborative divorce, and military family law.

Beal earned his J.D. cum laude from Baylor University School of Law in 1990, graduating as the highest-ranking student in his class. He served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Baylor Law Review and received numerous academic and advocacy honors, including the Matt Dawson Trial Advocacy Award. He previously earned a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems and Management from Baylor University. His academic background supports his detailed approach to family law analysis, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.

Before entering private practice, Beal served in the United States Marine Corps as a legal officer, artillery officer, and platoon commander. He later practiced commercial litigation with Johnson & Gibbs and civil litigation with Baron & Budd before establishing Beal Law Firm in 1992. His family law experience includes litigation, collaborative divorce, custody and support matters, and complex marital disputes. He has also written and spoken extensively on divorce, custody, premarital agreements, military family law, and family law ethics.

He was also named to Best Lawyers in America for Texas from 2022 through 2025 and has been recognized among Fort Worth’s Top Attorneys.
