About

Emily K. Arida is an associate attorney practicing in employment law and litigation, education and school law, insurance defense, and governmental liability. She began her career with the firm after clerking during law school and has since built a reputation for her thorough legal research, strong writing skills, and commitment to client service. She provides guidance and representation in disputes involving employers, schools, insurers, and public entities throughout Kansas.

Ms. Arida graduated first in her class with a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 2021, where she served as Managing Editor of the Washburn Law Journal. She earned both her M.A. and B.S. in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University. While in law school, she also interned with the Honorable Eric F. Melgren of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Ms. Arida’s academic achievements include authoring a published note on biometrics in employment law, as well as serving as a teaching assistant and student mentor. She held leadership roles in Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and the Labor and Employment Group of Washburn. These experiences provided a strong foundation for her career in employment and education law. Today, she applies her background to provide skilled advocacy and practical solutions for clients.

Emily K. Arida is active in the legal community as a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Wesley E. Brown American Inn of Court. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Wichita Women Attorneys Association and the Board of Directors for Raise My Head Foundation, demonstrating her commitment to both the profession and her community.
