Emily E. Long

Emily E. Long is an attorney with Long Law PLLC in Royal Oak, Michigan. She represents clients in criminal defense, family law, and general civil matters. A former assistant prosecutor, Emily uses her familiarity with criminal investigations and courtroom procedure when defending people accused of offenses. Emily received her undergraduate degree from Kenyon College and graduated cum laude from Michigan State University’s Detroit College of Law. During law school, she completed the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, gaining focused training in courtroom advocacy. Her legal education and prosecution background support her work preparing cases, reviewing evidence, and identifying the legal issues that can affect criminal, family, or civil proceedings.

Emily has tried more than 75 cases to verdict. Her trial experience includes work on both sides of litigation, including criminal prosecution and defense. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Oakland County Bar Association and belongs to Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.
