Eliot B. Dempsey

Eliot B. Dempsey is the founder and president of The Dempsey Law Firm in Aventura, Florida. His practice includes civil litigation, business and contract disputes, construction matters, homeowner and condominium issues, property damage and insurance claims, consumer protection, landlord-tenant matters, real estate issues, and selected personal injury and estate matters. He represents individuals and businesses in disputes that require negotiation, litigation, arbitration, or trial preparation.

Dempsey earned a B.A. in English from the University of Georgia and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. His legal education led to early work in insurance defense in Fort Lauderdale, followed by representation of insurance companies in automobile and first-party property matters. That experience gave him direct knowledge of insurer litigation practices before he moved into representing policyholders, individuals, and businesses in contested civil claims.

Dempsey has handled thousands of depositions and hearings and has represented clients through trial. His experience includes first-party property and homeowners insurance litigation, personal injury, general civil litigation, business disputes, construction defects, contractor conflicts, contract claims, condominium and homeowners association disputes, and storm-related insurance matters.
