Edward “Ed” Jarot, Jr.

Edward “Ed” Jarot Jr. is the co-founder and managing partner of Castle Law LLC, where he brings decades of experience in tax law, business law, estate planning, and entertainment law. Known for combining legal sophistication with a compassionate client-centered approach, Ed Jarot has built a reputation as a trusted advisor for families and businesses across Illinois.

Ed Jarot earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1996 and holds a Master of Laws in Taxation, earned cum laude, from John Marshall Law School in 2001. He also graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Criminology from Indiana State University in 1993. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Georgia (as of 2025) before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ed Jarot began his legal career at Dystrup, Hoster, & Jarot, PC, later merging the firm into Castle Law in 2015. Today, he advises clients on a wide range of legal issues, including tax planning, trust and estate management, business structuring, and legal compliance. As a frequent speaker for the Illinois State Bar Association, he remains active in shaping state-wide legal standards through his roles on the ISBA’s Trust & Estates Section Council and Task Force on the Unauthorized Practice of Law.

Recognized with an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Edward “Ed” Jarot Jr. continues to serve as legal counsel for the Rialto Square Theatre Foundation and other civic organizations.
