About

Don Tittle is a Dallas trial attorney who represents clients in civil rights, wrongful death, personal injury, and criminal defense matters. His practice frequently focuses on abuse and neglect involving private jail companies and other serious misconduct claims. He brings decades of courtroom experience to complex disputes, using detailed investigation, motion practice, and trial preparation to protect clients facing significant injuries, constitutional violations, or criminal allegations throughout Texas state courts.

Don earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 1989. He received his B.B.A. in Economics, with honors, from Baylor University in 1986. His legal and business education supports his ability to evaluate damages, financial issues, constitutional claims, and litigation strategy. He applies that foundation when preparing evidence, examining witnesses, and presenting complex civil rights, injury, and criminal matters to Texas judges and juries.

Don began his career with Strasburger & Price before serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Dallas County from 1991 through 1993. He later founded his own practice and developed substantial experience in civil rights and complex plaintiff litigation. His reported results include a $6 million resolution connected to the Dallas Fake Drug Scandal and other significant outcomes involving personal injury and First Amendment retaliation claims in Texas state courts.

Don Tittle has been named among The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and has had several cases listed among Texas Lawyer’s Top Texas Verdicts and Settlements. Since 2015, he has taught Fundamentals of Police Misconduct Litigation as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University School of Law. He also co-authors Texas Criminal Codes & Rules Annotated, combining trial advocacy, teaching, professional writing, and extensive civil rights litigation experience.
