About
Diane McNamara is a Virginia workers’ compensation and Social Security disability attorney based in Manassas. She has practiced law for more than 35 years and has spent most of her career representing injured workers and their families. She established her own practice in 1992 after beginning her legal career at a general practice firm, where she handled workers’ compensation claims. She serves clients throughout Northern Virginia and the surrounding Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Ms. McNamara earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and her B.A. in Economics and French from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She is admitted to the Virginia State Bar. Ms. McNamara spent part of her early career serving as a court-appointed criminal defense attorney and guardian ad litem for children and incapacitated adults. She now focuses on helping injured employees pursue medical treatment, lost wages, and other workers’ compensation benefits. She also represents families affected by fatal workplace accidents. She handles claims before deputy commissioners, appeals to the full Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, and appellate matters in Virginia courts.

She also represents clients after denials by handling reconsideration requests, administrative hearings, and further reviews. She explains each stage of the process while addressing the financial and medical pressures that often accompany an inability to work.
