About
Diane E. Coderniz is a Fresno attorney and shareholder whose practice focuses on agribusiness, employment law, and business litigation. Drawing on her agricultural background, she helps Central Valley businesses address disputes and workplace challenges with an informed understanding of the region’s industries. Her broader practice also includes environmental law, public agency matters, and water law. She is admitted in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Diane earned a B.S. in Dairy Science, cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2007, where she was a Cal Poly Scholar and competed on the Dairy Cattle Judging Team. She later received her J.D., with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2011. At law school, she competed on the Mock Trial Team for two years, joined the Traynor Honor Society, and was named Barrister of the Year.
Diane has defended numerous Central Valley businesses in employment matters and business litigation, providing counsel shaped by both legal training and practical knowledge of agriculture. Before entering practice, she interned with the California Milk Advisory Board and the California State Lands Commission. She also contributes as an editor and author to employment and litigation publications, sharing guidance on legal developments that affect employers and business clients.
Diane E. Coderniz was selected to Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2016 through 2025. She won the California Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet in 2013 and serves as co-chair of the Fresno County Bar Association Ag Law Section. Her professional service also includes past board roles with the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association and Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of the Community, along with membership in Fresno County Women Lawyers.
