She later earned an LL.M. in International Law, with study in transnational business and taxation, from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. Deborah began her legal career with an international law internship in London, England, at Herbert Oppenheimer, Nathan and Vandyke. She later worked as a litigation associate at Fried Frank Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. She also practiced as a solo general practitioner, which gave her direct experience helping people with varied legal concerns. Her background includes admission in New York, along with federal trial courts, federal appellate courts, the United States Court of International Trade, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
