Dean Nasser

Dean Nasser is a Sioux Falls attorney at Nasser Law whose practice includes personal injury, insurance denials, workers’ compensation, and trial work. Dean has maintained a general and trial practice in downtown Sioux Falls since 1974. His work combines representation of injured people with insurance and compensation disputes, and his long career has included substantial courtroom, appellate, legislative, and regulatory experience in South Dakota.

Dean graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1970 with majors in Government and History and a minor in Spanish. He then attended USD Law School, graduating in 1973. His legal education provided the foundation for a broad trial practice, while decades of continuing trial training, including the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, have further developed his approach to advocacy, evidence, and courtroom presentation.

Dean has argued before the South Dakota Supreme Court nearly 50 times and has handled a wide range of trial and appellate matters. He also works with the South Dakota Legislature and governmental agencies on laws affecting insurance and workers’ compensation issues. That combination of client representation, appeals, and policy work gives him experience with the practical operation of legal rules both in individual cases and in the broader regulatory environment.

Dean Nasser has received an AV peer rating and was named the 2010-11 South Dakota Trial Lawyer of the Year. Dean is licensed in South Dakota, federal district court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. His long-standing practice reflects sustained involvement in civil justice, professional associations, legislative issues, and courtroom advocacy for clients facing injury, insurance, and workers’ compensation disputes.
