David Ratz

David Ratz is a litigation attorney with Huffman & Huffman Brothers-in-Law, PLLC. He focuses on plaintiff’s cases involving personal injury, property damage, and coverage disputes. His work centers on helping injured clients seek justice through careful preparation, clear guidance, and strong representation in Virginia.

David earned his Bachelor of Science from Liberty University in 1998. He later earned his Juris Docrtor from Regent School of Law in 2004. Before beginning his legal career, his educational background was in teaching, which helped shape his clear approach to client communication.

David began his legal practice in the area of general law after law school. Within a few years, he narrowed his work to personal injury defense. He defended cases for major insurance companies, both in private practice and as associate staff counsel for GEICO, Inc.

David has spent over a decade representing people injured because of others’ negligence. As a trial attorney, he fights for injured clients regardless of the size of their case or the severity of their injury. His courtroom experience spans many areas across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

David uses his prior defense experience to better serve injured clients. He works to secure strong results through settlement or trial when needed. He believes every client deserves careful attention, clear legal education, and a case strategy shaped by their needs and the trial process.
