David M. Pyke is a veteran probate attorney with more than three decades of legal experience. Since 2000, he has focused his practice on probate administration, estate planning, and related disputes. With over fifty tried cases, David’s insight into the Dallas courts and juries allows him to guide clients through complex legal challenges.
David earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University’s Business School, graduating magna cum laude with a major in accounting. He passed the CPA exam on his first attempt in 1983. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Law School, graduating cum laude. He was also recognized as a member of the Order of the Coif, Order of Barristers and served as a Law Review editor.
Throughout his distinguished career, David has consistently earned high praise. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer from 2020 to 2025. He was named among D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas in 2020 and again in 2025. His professional affiliations include the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Texas Bar Foundation.
David is licensed to practice in all Texas state trial and appellate courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. He has also been admitted to the United States Supreme Court and the Fifth and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is an active member of the State Bar’s Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section and the Dallas Bar Association’s Probate Section.
