David Jonathan Taylor is a dedicated elder law and estate planning attorney who helps individuals and families secure their future. David began his academic path at McLean High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from George Mason University, where he received the Ben Franklin Award. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law. There, he served as Publications Editor for the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law.
David’s legal career includes clerkship with Judge Rhonda Reid Winston in the DC Superior Court’s probate division, strengthening his foundation in estate administration. He also worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he gained critical experience in tax and asset protection strategies for estate planning and elder law.
David’s practice focuses on helping middle-class families preserve wealth and prepare for long-term care. By guiding clients through public benefit qualification and smart legal structuring, he minimizes the risk of unnecessary tax burdens and court involvement. His attention to detail helps clients avoid delays and confusion during life transitions.
David regularly supports other attorneys through his knowledge-sharing in estate planning. He has passed the exam for national elder law accreditation and is a member of NAELA, Elder Law College, and WealthCounsel. His commitment to service also includes prior volunteer work at the DC Bar Probate Clinic and taking on pro bono cases.
