David H. Rigdon

David H. Rigdon is an attorney at Taggart & Taggart in Nevada who focuses on real property, land development, government affairs, and water law. He advises municipal entities, developers, water users, and other clients on transactions, land use approvals, and regulatory proceedings. David also represents clients in civil litigation involving real estate and water rights. His work connects property and natural resource issues with the decisions made by state agencies, local governments, and courts.

David received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and serving on the Nevada Law Journal. He is admitted to practice before Nevada’s state and federal courts.

Before joining Taggart & Taggart in 2015, David served as deputy legislative counsel to the Nevada Legislature. He previously worked in government affairs and land use consulting for NV Energy and served on the Reno City Council and Planning Commission. His legal work includes real estate purchase agreements, due diligence, land use entitlements, and appearances at development hearings. He also represents water utilities, ranchers, mining companies, developers, and well owners before water regulators and in related appeals.
