David E. Feldman

David E. Feldman is a Reston, Virginia, real estate attorney and firm founder with more than six decades of legal experience. He focuses on real estate, land use, banking and finance, land acquisition, construction, and property sales. He advises developers, property owners, businesses, and financial institutions on transactions, approvals, financing arrangements, workouts, and foreclosures. His practical development and banking experience help him evaluate legal issues from both counsel and business perspectives.

Feldman earned his J.D. from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1964 and his A.B. from George Washington University in 1961. He is admitted to practice in Virginia. His education established a foundation for the civil trial, government, real estate, and financial work that has shaped his career. He has also applied his legal training as a former assistant county attorney, assistant town attorney, and substitute judge.

Feldman began practicing in 1964 and handled civil and criminal trials, personal injury claims, matrimonial cases, and eminent domain matters. He later advised and defended the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors before focusing on land use, real estate development, and banking. His experience includes commercial, industrial, and residential purchases and sales, loan closings, workouts, and foreclosures. He has also developed and managed shopping centers, office buildings, an industrial park, and a 140-townhouse project.

David E. Feldman was inducted into the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame in 2024 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law from 2010 through 2026. He holds an AV Preeminent peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has received additional recognition for his real estate practice. His leadership includes prior service with the Fairfax County Bar Association and community organizations, reflecting his long-standing commitment to professional service in Northern Virginia.
