Daryll Hawthorne-Bernardo

Daryll Hawthorne-Bernardo is counsel at White and Williams LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. She focuses on complex civil litigation involving product liability, professional liability, insurance coverage, personal injury, and employment disputes. Her work includes representation of insurance carriers, self-insured businesses, and other defendants. She approaches these cases with legal and scientific training that is relevant to technical evidence, contested claims, and the evaluation of litigation risks.

Daryll earned a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2017, an M.S. from Arcadia University in 2014, and a B.S. from Pace University in 2011. At Temple, she participated in the National Trial Team and received advocacy awards. Before law school, she completed clinical and forensic science training. Her education brings scientific experience to the analysis of liability and injury disputes.

Before joining White and Williams, Daryll worked at Wilmington firms handling defense matters involving products, professional liability, premises incidents, and motor vehicle or trucking claims. She also gained intellectual property experience in patent litigation and prosecution, including a summer position in GlaxoSmithKline’s Global Patents department. During law school, she interned for a federal magistrate judge and later participated in pro bono matters for veterans and incarcerated individuals.
