Danny W. Jarrett

Danny W. Jarrett is the office managing principal and litigation manager of Jackson Lewis P.C. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He represents employers, government entities, and Native American tribal organizations in labor and employment matters. His practice includes discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, collective bargaining, and workplace compliance. He has been certified as a specialist in labor and employment law by the New Mexico Supreme Court Board of Legal Specialization since August 2008.

Danny earned a B.S. from the University of New Mexico in 1989 and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1996. He attended the university as a Presidential Scholarship recipient. Before his current practice, he served as vice president and corporate counsel of a national healthcare company, overseeing operations across several states and more than 400 employees. That in-house experience informs his advice to management on employment decisions and organizational risk.

Danny handles disputes involving federal discrimination law, disability accommodation, family and medical leave, wage and hour requirements, and prevailing wage obligations. He has represented clients before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Workers’ Compensation Administration. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements with unions, including the Teamsters and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He also advises management on union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice charges, and strategies for responding to workplace disputes.

Danny W. Jarrett has received multiple Best Lawyers recognitions, including 2026 Lawyer of the Year for Employment Law – Management in his market. He has served on the State Bar of New Mexico’s Board of Bar Commissioners and held leadership roles in its Employment and Labor and Indian Law sections. He is also a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. His work combines management experience with litigation and labor relations counsel for organizations facing complex personnel issues.
