Daniel R. Flaherty

Daniel Flaherty is the founder and managing attorney of Flaherty Law, LLC. He is a skilled trial lawyer with extensive experience in personal injury, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, product liability, and workers’ compensation cases. Before representing injured individuals, he worked in insurance defense, which gave him valuable insight into how large insurers approach claims. This background now helps him protect clients and build strong cases on their behalf.

Daniel R. Flaherty completed his B.A. in Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas. He went on to earn his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, where he focused on litigation. During law school, he was selected for the school’s Advocacy Team and competed in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America’s national advocacy competition in Boston, MA. His academic training and advocacy work helped form the foundation for his career as a trial attorney.

Daniel has helped people injured through no fault of their own by taking on complex and challenging cases throughout his career. After joining a Chicago-area trial firm in 2010, he spent nearly five years representing injury victims and recovered millions of dollars for clients. In 2015, he founded Flaherty Law, LLC, where he continues to fight for individuals harmed by negligence, unsafe conditions, medical errors, defective products, and workplace injuries. His experience includes both plaintiff and defense work, giving him a balanced perspective that benefits every client he represents.

Daniel Flaherty is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Will County Bar Association. His work has earned recognition from Elite Lawyer, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel’s Nation’s Top One Percent.
