About

Craig Nolan is an attorney at Dinse who represents individuals and entities in criminal defense, government investigations and enforcement, complex civil litigation, trials, and appeals. He also conducts internal investigations. A former federal and state prosecutor, he returned to Dinse in August 2026. His practice addresses contested matters from early investigation through courtroom proceedings, with attention to risk, legal options, and preparation for trial.

Craig earned a J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 1995, receiving Order of the Coif honors and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Bill of Rights Law Journal. He earned an A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1990 with honors in his major. His academic honors and journal leadership preceded federal judicial clerkships and a career in prosecution and private practice. He now represents clients in criminal defense, civil litigation, government investigations, and appeals at Dinse.

Craig served as White Collar Crimes Chief in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Hawaii and Branch Chief in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Vermont. He also served as Washington County State’s Attorney. He has tried more than 25 cases to jury verdict and handled numerous appeals. His experience includes fraud, contract, civil rights, cybercrime, narcotics, and murder matters, as well as commercial and regulatory litigation.

Craig Nolan approaches disputes and investigations with the perspective of a trial attorney and appellate advocate. His work includes evaluating evidence, developing a case narrative, and considering resolution before charges or a civil complaint are filed. Investigations can create interconnected criminal, civil, and regulatory concerns. His prosecution and private practice experience support coordinated assessment of those issues and representation through the different stages of a contested matter.
