Cole N. Sherard is a member and attorney at Pence and MacMillan LLC whose practice focuses primarily on criminal defense throughout Wyoming. He represents clients facing serious felony charges, misdemeanor offenses, DUI and DWUI allegations, driver’s license issues, and Wyoming Game and Fish violations. Sherard earned a B.A. from the University of Wyoming in 1999 and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2003. He was admitted to the Wyoming Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming in 2004. His Wyoming-based education and legal training provide a foundation for courtroom advocacy, evidentiary analysis, and criminal procedure, supporting a practice that requires careful preparation and close familiarity with state law and local courts.
Sherard originally practiced in Wheatland, Wyoming, for 10 years before joining Pence and MacMillan in 2014. His trial experience includes sexual assault cases, aggravated assault and battery matters, vehicular homicide charges, and DUI prosecutions. The firm reports that he has obtained jury acquittals in numerous serious criminal cases as well as dismissals for clients during his career. His work also includes driver’s license proceedings and defense of alleged Game and Fish violations.
Cole N. Sherard is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has served on the Wyoming State Bar Criminal Jury Instruction Committee and as a Wyoming State Bar Commissioner.
