Cobby J. Shereff

Cobby J. Shereff is of counsel at Andrus Intellectual Property Law and focuses on domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement. She helps clients manage and protect global trademark portfolios while addressing acquisitions, licensing, and related transactions. Her work includes strategies to protect intellectual property, identify infringement, and respond to trademark disputes. She practices before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Shereff earned a B.A., cum laude, from William Smith College and a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law in New York. She later received an L.L.M. in Trade Regulation from N.Y.U. School of Law, where she received the Katz Prize. Her legal education supports a practice centered on trademark rights, copyright issues, licensing, enforcement, and the business planning connected with intellectual property assets.

Shereff joined Andrus after 20 years of intellectual property practice as a partner at Blumenfield & Shereff, LLP. Earlier, she served as in-house counsel for RCA Records in New York, handling copyright, trademark, unfair competition, licensing, contracts, and general corporate matters. She previously served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, adding public-sector experience to her commercial intellectual property background.

Cobby J. Shereff is admitted before the New York Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Wisconsin, and federal courts in New York and Wisconsin.
