About

Claire Lorch Hagedorn is a member of Lorch Naville Ward in New Albany, Indiana. She focuses on family law and adoptions, particularly foster parent adoptions through the Department of Child Services. Her practice also includes wills, trusts and estates. She assists individuals and families with legal matters affecting parental relationships, family arrangements and future planning, approaching each issue with attention to the circumstances of the people involved.

Claire earned an undergraduate degree in English and Spanish from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and a law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. In law school, she received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law and Education and volunteered with the juvenile division of the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office. These experiences strengthened her preparation for family-centered legal work.

Before joining the firm as an attorney, Claire worked as a law clerk for Lorch and Naville in 2010 and for Floyd County Circuit Court Judge J. Terrence Cody in 2009. Her work now centers on adoptions and other family law concerns. Experience with juvenile proceedings and the local court system informs her approach to matters involving children, changing family relationships and the legal steps required to establish them.
