Christopher J. Couch

Christopher J. Couch is a Louisiana creditors’ rights lawyer and Senior Advisory Member who provides strategic and executive counsel to a regional legal collections practice. As a founding member, Christopher previously served for more than 15 years as managing member of a multi-state legal collection practice. His work centers on legal collections, creditor defense, compliance, lending, audits, law office management, and planning for business continuity across several jurisdictions and state markets.

Christopher earned a J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of New Orleans and attended the Summer Scholar Program at George Washington University School of Political Management. His education supports work involving compliance, lending, legal collections, audits, and management decisions. This background helps him evaluate operational risk, communicate legal standards, and effectively guide teams through regulated collection practices.

Christopher has lectured nationally on compliance, disaster planning and recovery, and law office management. His published work has addressed compliance, audits, lending, legal collections, and disaster planning. He also co-authored the Louisiana Law of Pawn, 3d Edition. His experience includes guiding firm growth, supporting client standards, and helping collection practices respond to changing legal, operational, and professional requirements while maintaining structured systems for creditor services and continued recovery strategy planning.

Christopher J. Couch is admitted before all Louisiana courts and the United States Supreme Court. His leadership includes service with the National Creditors Bar Association, including board, parliamentarian, leadership, client standards, communications, and public relations roles. His honors include New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law recognition and Hall of Fame induction. He helps clients and legal teams approach creditor matters with preparation, compliance awareness, and sound executive judgment in practice.
