Christopher A. McCormack

Christopher A. McCormack is a partner at Brindle McCormack & Williams, P.C. in Portland, Oregon. His practice includes criminal defense, DUI matters, juvenile and dependency matters, civil litigation, and personal injury. Chris has focused on criminal law since 2000 and represents clients through serious legal disputes with attention to the facts, available defenses, and practical case strategy. His work draws on substantial experience on both sides of criminal cases.

Chris earned a B.A. from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1996 and attended Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, graduating in 1999. He was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2000. His legal education, combined with early courtroom experience, supports his ability to evaluate evidence, explain legal options clearly, and address criminal and civil matters with a practical understanding of Oregon procedure.

Before joining the firm, Chris spent six years with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office. That prosecutorial background gave him direct experience with charging decisions, courtroom preparation, and the way the government develops criminal cases. He later joined Brindle McCaslin, P.C. and was promoted from associate attorney to shareholder in 2012. His current work also includes personal injury and civil litigation matters in addition to criminal defense.

Christopher A. McCormack is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Multnomah Bar Association. He has also served with the Oregon State Bar Criminal Law Section and community organizations. His background as a former prosecutor and longtime defense lawyer helps him assess legal problems from multiple perspectives and provide clients with informed representation across criminal, injury, and civil disputes.
