Christine Lebron-Dykeman

Christine Lebron-Dykeman is a trademark attorney and Chair of the Trademark Practice Group at McKee, Voorhees & Sease, PLC in Des Moines. She advises clients on United States and international trademark prosecution, portfolio management, clearance, enforcement, defense, and licensing. Her work also includes trademark and trade dress litigation, helping businesses protect brands while responding to disputes and competitive risks.

Christine earned an A.B., cum laude, from Smith College in 1991 and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1996. After law school, she completed a federal judicial clerkship and later practiced in San Francisco. She has also taught as an adjunct law professor at Drake University Law School and the University of Iowa College of Law.

Christine has handled more than 1,000 United States trademark applications and registrations, more than 60 opposition and cancellation matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and more than 40 trademark and trade dress lawsuits. Her appellate work has included matters before federal appellate courts. She also counsels clients on cease-and-desist issues, licensing arrangements, trademark searches, and long-term portfolio strategy.

Christine Lebron-Dykeman combines prosecution, counseling, and litigation experience across trademarks, licensing, trade secrets, and related intellectual property disputes. She is active in professional organizations including the International Trademark Association and Iowa legal associations. Her practice helps clients build, maintain, and enforce brand rights while addressing the practical business issues that often accompany trademark ownership and commercial expansion. She also brings teaching experience to the analysis of evolving trademark issues.
