Christian B. Waddell

Christian B. Waddell is a partner at Balch & Bingham LLP in Jackson whose practice focuses on Public Finance and Corporate & Commercial matters. He works extensively in affordable housing, economic development, and public finance. His clients include public entities, lenders, developers, and local governments seeking guidance on financing structures, access to capital markets, and the state and federal legal frameworks that shape housing and development projects.

Waddell earned a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1998 and a B.A. from Rhodes College in 1993. His legal education, combined with decades of finance work, supports a practice involving tax-credit programs, state and local government finance, and commercial development. He is admitted in Mississippi and before the Mississippi Supreme Court, both U.S. District Courts in Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Waddell serves as counsel to Mississippi Home Corporation and has experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credits and single- and multi-family development finance. He also serves as counsel to the Mississippi Development Bank and represents the Mississippi Business Finance Corporation.
