Charlotte R. Mahoney

Charlotte R. Mahoney is a founding partner of MNB Meridian Law, Ltd. and leads its National Security and Military Administrative and Personnel Law practices. She advises service members, veterans, businesses, and organizations on military discipline, administrative proceedings, national security, internal investigations, and related legal concerns. She draws on nearly 21 years as a US Army Judge Advocate. She uses that experience to understand military systems, command structures, and the consequences of administrative decisions.

Charlotte earned her B.A. from the University of Kansas. She received her J.D. from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wigging School of Law. She later earned her LL.M. from The Judge Advocate General’s School. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina and Massachusetts. She holds the Master Certified Knowledge Manager designation and credentials in legal project management and process improvement.

Charlotte served as a criminal prosecutor, military law instructor, legal-center officer-in-charge, foreign torts branch chief, and command judge advocate. She deployed with the 3rd Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She later served as the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps Deputy Chief Information Officer and Chief of its Information Technology Division. After retiring, she led knowledge and research services at WilmerHale and knowledge-management strategy for the Defense Health Agency.

Charlotte R. Mahoney combines military justice knowledge, national security experience, organizational leadership, and disciplined case management. She holds an internationally recognized designation as an expert in military justice. She serves on the Veterans Yoga Project’s board of directors, supporting recovery and resilience among veterans and military families. Her military decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.
