Charlie Varni

Charlie Varni has dedicated his legal career to criminal defense and protecting the rights of people facing prosecution. Raised in the Seattle area, he graduated from O’Dea High School before beginning his college education. His work has focused on defending individuals in difficult legal situations while helping clients understand the criminal justice process.

Charlie earned degrees in History and Anthropology from Washington State University before earning his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. After completing law school, he began practicing criminal defense and built experience representing clients in a wide range of cases. His education helped develop the research, communication, and analytical skills used throughout his legal career.

Charlie started his career working for the City of Federal Way, defending clients in Municipal Court matters. He later moved into private criminal defense practice, where he handled many different types of cases. His experience includes domestic violence allegations, serious drug crimes, major felony sex crimes involving juveniles and adults, murder cases, and complicated federal criminal matters.

Charlie is admitted to the Washington State Bar and the United States District Court (Federal), Western District. He is also a member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Throughout his career, he has represented people accused of serious offenses while guiding clients through challenging legal proceedings with careful preparation and strong courtroom advocacy.
