Charles H. Barnett, III, is a highly experienced civil litigation attorney at Spragins, Barnett & Cobb, PLC, with more than 40 years of practice in both state and federal courts. He has handled a wide range of cases, including eminent domain, real estate, commercial litigation, personal injury, products liability, employment discrimination, and professional liability lawsuits and disputes. Mr. Barnett has a special focus on eminent domain cases, representing clients in disputes involving property condemnation for highways, pipelines, reservoirs, and other public projects. He regularly litigates against state agencies and municipalities to protect his clients’ rights involving commercial, industrial, residential, and farm properties.
Mr. Barnett earned his J.D. from Memphis State University School of Law in 1975, graduating with honors, ranking second in his class, and serving on the Memphis State University Law Review. Before law school, he completed a B.S. at Memphis State University in 1969. His strong academic background laid the foundation for a distinguished legal career.
