Catherine A. Byers

Catherine A. Byers is a Senior Associate Attorney who leads with focus, compassion, and skill in estate planning and probate matters. She takes the time to understand each client’s individual story and legal needs. Her thoughtful, hands-on approach has helped numerous families navigate sensitive life transitions with clarity and confidence.

Catherine began her education with a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Texas A&M University in 2008. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University in 2015. In addition, she holds the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) designation, equipping her to assist families with unique planning needs.

With a strong work ethic and attention to detail, Catherine supports clients through all stages of estate and probate processes. She also offers guidance in creating special needs trusts and helping families gain guardianship for loved ones with disabilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in helping frontline workers set up essential estate documents.

Catherine is licensed by the State Bar of Texas since 2015. She is an active member of the San Antonio Bar Association and REPTL, and was part of the Bexar County Women’s Bar LEAD Academy during 2021-22. Her peers have recognized her consistently as a Rising Star and Outstanding Woman in Law in multiple years.
