Catherine A. Burke

Catherine A. Burke is a Vermont corporate attorney and shareholder in the corporate department of Gravel & Shea PC, whose practice focuses on business law, governance, mergers and acquisitions, and tax matters. She advises companies on sales tax audits, financing issues, emerging technologies, and the formation and governance of Vermont cannabis businesses. Before joining private practice in Vermont in 2018, she provided tax consulting services through a large accounting firm and assisted clients during IRS audits.

Catherine earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law in 2014. She served as president of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the George Mason Law Review. She previously earned a B.A. in Geography, magna cum laude, from the University of Vermont in 2007. She completed American University’s Washington Semester Public Policy Seminar in 2006.
