About
Carl Stenberg is a Houston attorney focused on complex transactional and estate planning matters. He advises companies and individuals on corporate and commercial law, trusts and estates, real estate transactions, asset protection, and inbound U.S. investments. His practice also includes fractional general counsel services and a Nordic practice, allowing him to help clients structure business activities, protect assets, plan legacies, and address cross-border legal needs.
Stenberg earned an LL.M. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where he served as a staff editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law and the Texas International Law Journal. He received an LL.B. in Global Law from Queen Mary University of London and helped found its Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. This education supports his work on sophisticated domestic and international transactions.
Before establishing his own practice, Stenberg worked as a private equity and corporate lawyer at two international law firms and gained additional experience with Global Nuclear Energy Advisory. His background informs his guidance on corporate structuring, commercial agreements, real estate deals, and investment matters. He has also written on carbon capture, nuclear energy, and the legal implications of malpractice in cranial neurosurgery, reflecting experience with technical and regulated subjects.
Carl Stenberg was selected as a 2025 Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He serves on the boards of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Texas and the Swedish Club of Houston and is a founding board member of the Texas International Lawyers Society.
