C. Robert Stell

C. Robert Stell is of counsel at Bass Law and represents clients in oil and gas legal matters throughout Oklahoma. His experience includes advising mineral owners, producers, operators, and major energy businesses. His practice covers contractual negotiations, royalty disputes, litigation, and regulatory issues. The work draws on more than three decades of legal experience with energy-industry transactions and disputes, including both private law practice and in-house counsel roles.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Oklahoma State University in 1991. He received his Juris Doctorate with Highest Honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1994. His academic training preceded a career focused on the legal and commercial interests of the oil and gas industry. That foundation supports work involving agreements, ownership questions, regulatory requirements, and disputed financial rights related to energy production.

Robert spent 19 years as a trial lawyer at two Oklahoma City law firms and later served as a legal executive and in-house counsel for a major oil and gas exploration and production company. This combination of outside litigation and internal corporate roles shaped his understanding of disputes and operational questions facing energy clients. He is admitted in Oklahoma trial and appellate courts and in all three federal district courts in Oklahoma.
